Privacy Policy

FromZero2AI (https://www.fromzero2ai.dev) is an independent, interactive AI/ML education site built and run by one person, Bishwambhar Sen. There is no company behind it, no data broker relationship, and no sale of personal information. This page explains, plainly, what data the site actually collects and why.

If you don't sign in: your lesson progress and saved code are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and it disappears if you clear your browser data.

If you sign in with Google: we use Google as the sole sign-in method (via NextAuth/Auth.js). We store the basic profile information Google provides — your name, email address, and profile image — plus the tokens needed to keep you signed in. We do not see or store your Google password.

Once signed in, we store, in our database:

• Which lessons and courses you've completed, and when
• Code you've written and saved in the in-browser code editor, so it's there when you come back
• Badges you've earned as you progress through the curriculum
• If you choose to submit a testimonial: the display name, role, and text you provide, which is shown publicly on the site

If you were using the site as a guest and then sign in, your local progress is copied into your account once, and the local copy is then cleared.

What we don't do:we don't currently send any emails to users — there is no email notification, newsletter, or progress-reminder feature. We don't offer a Credentials (email/password) login. We don't sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insightsto understand aggregate traffic and page performance (e.g. which pages are visited, load times). This data is anonymized/aggregated and is not used to build an individual profile of you.

A session cookie is set by NextAuth/Auth.js when you sign in, so the site knows you're logged in. This is strictly functional and not used for advertising.

This site uses Google AdSenseto serve advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick/advertising cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere.

You can view, manage, or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's own controls at adssettings.google.com.

You can, at any time:

• Ask what data we hold about your account by emailing contact@fromzero2ai.dev
• Ask us to delete your account and associated data (progress, saved code, badges) by emailing the same address
• Revoke this site's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's third-party access settings
• Opt out of personalized ads via Google's ad settings linked above

This applies regardless of your location, including if you are covered by GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California) — we will honor access and deletion requests on request; as a solo-run site there is no separate automated self-service portal for this yet, so email is the fastest way to reach us.

FromZero2AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at contact@fromzero2ai.dev and we will remove it.

As the site changes — new features, new integrations — this policy will be updated to reflect what actually happens. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
